The Devon Mermaid is a small business venture based in the pretty seaside town of Dawlish in South Devon. I create handmade seashell gifts from shells beachcombed from local beaches or rescued from the food industry, thus avoiding landfill. It’s a truly sustainable business!
Seashell gifts make a thoughtful present year-round. My piatto di ninnoli trinket dishes are particularly popular at Christmastime, and make perfect gifts for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or Easter. I make beautiful gifts from sustainably sourced seashells and ceramics beachcombed from the Devon shoreline. My piatto di ninnoli scallop shells and oyster shells are sourced from local divers and the restaurant trade, where they would otherwise go to landfill. My mermaid necklaces are constructed using premium-quality, biodegradable hemp or bamboo cord, glass or stone beads (not plastic) and silver-plated fastenings.
Packaging your Devon Mermaid seashell gifts
I reuse packaging where possible. Your mermaid treasure will arrive carefully packaged in a reused, recyclable box or padded envelope. Gift boxes are new and recyclable.
